Albert Richard Lopez, 73, of Bloomfield, passed on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at his home. He was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Los Pinos, to Pedro Antonio Lopez and Felina Manzanares, both deceased. Albert is preceded in death by his brothers, Locadio Lopez and Leroy Lopez. His family was his whole life.
Albert was a manager at the family owned AandW before moving to Farmington, where he worked in the oil fields until he was disabled by a work related accident. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Priscilla Martinez Lopez; his four children, Alberta Sanchez, Loretta Zappia and husband Tony, Kelly Lopez and Toni Jensen and husband, Dave. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Richard Albert Lopez, Christina Lynn Zappia, Catherine Ann Zappia, LindaAnn Marie Reyes, Johnathan Ryan Leyba and Michael Robert Leyba. He also had two great-grandchildren, Emily Michelle Reyes and Albert Jacob Reyes; siblings, Jose Lopez and wife, Diane and Clara Lopez Martinez and husband, Johnny.
Cremation will take place. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield. A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield, followed by a reception in the parish hall.
Albert's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
