Aaron Trujillo, our beloved husband, father, cheii, nalii, brother and uncle was called home peacefully to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 26, 2020. He was born in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico on March 28, 1930 to Yil Nah Baa and Antonio Trujillo. Aaron joined the Army in 1948, fought in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was honorably discharged and was awarded Bronze Star medal, Purple Heart, Infantry Combat Badge, Service Medal, and Campaign Medal, which was presented five times for the five major battles he was involved in. On November 9, 2001 Aaron was awarded the Republic of Korean War Service Medal by the Korean government, it is the only medal from the Korean War that is recognized by a government other than the United States.
Aaron loved to cook, he made delicious yeast rolls, and fried egg sandwiches for his children and grandchildren; playing solitaire and sudoku, assembling puzzles, was an avid reader, especially Louis l'amour book . He also loved watching football. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos. Aaron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Ena M. Trujillo, and children Arvin (Cynthia) Trujillo, Arnold Trujillo, Alvin (Lyann) Trujillo, Ervin (Crystal) Trujillo, Ernie Trujillo, Arlinda (Kenneth) Brewer, Elvira Yazzie, Elvina Trujillo, and Elena Trujillo. He is also survived by his sister Ethelina Tsosie; 20 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Yil Na Bah and Antonio Trujillo, granddaughter Meagan Trujillo and numerous brothers and sisters.
A private graveside service will be held this week for immediate family.
