A. Gwen "Pee Wee" Gonser Lucero, 73, passed away November 16, 2016. She was born to David E. and May Gonser on September 2, 1943 in Denver, Co.
Pee Wee was born in Denver, CO. The family moved to Aztec in 1956. She graduated with the class of 1961, she was a true "Aztec Tiger". In later years she worked at Citizens Bank, drove school busses for Farmington and Bloomfield schools, worked at Farmers Market, Sam's Club and in the pharmacy at Smiths. After retiring she enjoyed traveling to many places but her favorite trip was to Graceland, she was Elvis' greatest fan.
Pee Wee is preceded in death by her husband, Reynel Amador Lucero; parents, David E. and May Gonser; brother, Waylon "Corky" Gonser.
Pee Wee is survived by her sons; Mark, Terry and Larry (SR) Joplin; grandchildren, William H. Wilson, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Lance, Analia and Larry (Jr) Joplin; great grandchildren, Amelia Avalos and Gordon Averey DeSpain.
A visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home at 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. A funeral service will at 9:00am on Monday, November 21,2016 at McGee Park in the multi-use building, with Brother Bob Schlauger as officiant. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Lance and Dakota Joplin, Billy Huish, Julian and Larry Lucero, Blaine Williams, Sadie and Danny Shelton.
Memorials/donations may be made to St Jude's - 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
